About Me

My vision

I am a qualified Cranio Sacral Therapist and have done extensive training in Trauma and Pre and Perinatal Trauma resolution with Babette Rothshchild and Karlton Terry, as well as Baby Therapy utilising Baby Body Language. I am also well versed with a background knowledge of homeopathy, naturopathy, nutrition, kinesiology and EFT. I have also trained to Foundation Level in Core Process Psychotherapy.

Alongside my Therapy qualification I have university qualifications in Sciences and Business Management up to Masters Level.

I am the Founder of Healing Earth Ltd and founder of Healing Waters Sanctuary and Healing Gardens Cooperative, both in Glastonbury Uk and also of the HeartSpring Retreat Centre in France. I am a Director with Avalon Community Energy Cooperative Ltd.

I offer public speaking on the topics of Wellness and Trauma Healing and have written articles that have been published in health and consciousness magazines.

My vision is to free the planet from the endless cycle of unnecessary trauma. Trauma is the result of a life threatening or perceived life threatening event. As such, it is something that happens to us all the time. Unfortunately we are mostly unaware that it is happening to us until it is too late and we are traumatized. Unhealed trauma spirals and is passed on to future generations. Once one person is traumatized, it can lead to further episodes of trauma. As trauma spreads it causes, abuse, famine, poverty, and war amongst the other horrors that inflict us. If we can educate ourselves about this and lift our consciousness, we can heal trauma at it’s roots and have a very different planet to share.

My Sources of Inspiration

I trained at the Karuna Institute in Devon with Franklyn Sills in 1992. Following my initial Cranio-Sacral training, I subsequently followed a series of advanced level Cranio Sacral trainings specialising in birth trauma, amongst other things. Later I studied the foundation level of Core Process Psychotherapy. I have also trained in Shock and Trauma Therapy with Babette Rothschild. The advanced level Cranio Sacral Trainings also incorporated the work of Dr Peter Levine, so I am well versed in somatic experiencing.

How to Heal Trauma

This pioneering approach to trauma understands how it is important to heal the nervous system through the body. We are dealing here with the bod/ymind. Trauma leaves an intense package of condensed energy locked into the body and somatic experiencing allows this energy to be gently and safely released so that the brain can build new neural pathways. Accessing and experiencing our bodily sensation we become whole again.

Pre and Peri Natal Trauma Resolution

Working with adults and babies

Following my Cranio Sacral training I trained for 7 years with Karlton Terry who established the Institute of Pre and Peri- natal Education. The three courses that I did with him during this time were Pre and Peri-natal Education, Embodiment, and understanding Baby Body Language.

These trainings gave me an in-depth understanding, drawing upon my own personal research, of how our earliest formative experiences are held in our cellular memories, and how to access these and to re-pattern them in order to free ourselves from limiting behaviour patterns and dysfunctional belief systems. The Embodiment training allowed me to explore deeper and earlier memories of how my soul moved from the non physical realms into the physical, giving rise to me as a person, and the shock that came with that experience, together fortunately with the understanding of how to overcome that in order to align directly with my soul intention for this incarnation. I did not complete the final training which was in understanding Babies Body Language and how to work with them empathically whilst witnessing their stories of their uterine lives and their own embodiment experiences. However, I have had much experience working with babies and young children with Cranio Sacral Therapy and the part of the Baby Language Course that I completed, complimented my understanding of the intense amount of suffering that we go through in utero and how important it is to listen with Empathy when babies express this through their movements and through crying.

My Approach to Healing

In my therapy sessions I offer warm, friendly support and the pace of the work is unhurried so that each person’s psychological ‘process’ is supported according to their own unique needs. To heal trauma, we need quietness and safety and to feel sufficiently resourced. I relate to health and wholeness in each individual rather than the disease or problem. The work is helpful in relieving PTSD symptoms and also psychological conditions arising from pre-natal traumatic events.

When you come to me for a healing session, I create for you, not only a ‘deeply held and compassionate space’, but also provide you with comfort to relax after your session. After such deep work it sometimes takes a while to be able to re-enter the normal world.

A Life Journey Lived from the Heart

Aside from the specific trainings detailed above, I have had a life long interest in health and have acquired a background knowledge of nutrition, natropathy, herbalism and homeopathy, Kinesiology, EFT and how the mind works using the principles of quantum physics. When working with a client, I bring all these skills and insights into the session. Fundamental to our physical well being is good nutrition, which is why I am a passionate gardener. Growing my own food, I know that I am eating the very best quality. It is this quality of food that I offer to others that become involved in the Healing Gardens Cooperative.

I created both the Cooperative and Healing Waters Sanctuary so that people could find the quality of support and sensitivity, from the heart, from one human being to the next, that would support their very own personal needs for healing. There are times when I may not get everything right, and in this I ask for compassion from those of you who may not be satisfied, to understand that I work with a deep and heartfelt commitment to be of service to you.

I am mother of four and naturally work sensitively and empathetically with babies and children as well as adults. Prior to setting up Healing Waters, I developed an organic small holding, growing produce, rearing animals and training people in the principles of self sufficiency and sustainability in the south of France. I have a strong connection with the earth, plants and animals. In creating the Healing Gardens Cooperative which is the sister project of Healing Waters Sanctuary, I hope to empower people to develop their own connections to the earth and to each other, to re-create community where it has been destroyed by our modern lifestyles; to be able to nourish and honour their bodies, the temples to their souls with really good, vitally alive food. In the gardens we grow a wide range of organic produce, keep bees and chickens and offer access to it to guests staying at the Sanctuary.

Apart from my professional training I have actively participated in peace movement campaigning and have also travelled extensively. I have been deeply involved in working with various NGO’s in relief work in Eritrea and India. In the UK I have helped people become financially self-empowered by sharing my knowledge of property investment and business development, having trained with T. Harv Eker, Bob Procter and Blair Singer.

The main inspiration in my life has come from Gandhi and the Dalai Lama and my core philosophy is Buddhist. In this respect, Healing Waters Sanctuary is a multi-faith centre, and it has received spiritual teachers and healers from different spiritual backgrounds, including a number of Tibetan Lamas.
